There were a number of reasons behind Disney’s decision to open a theme park in Paris, like: Paris was a major tourist destination and was centrally located with excellent transportation links with the rest of Europe. There were 17 million within four hours’ drive and 109 million within six hours drive from Paris.

Ans.
This is very difficult to say easily whether I would have gone for setting up of the park in Shangai or some location in India if I would have in the top management of Disney.
However, by gathering some knowledge from this article I should not do this because the visitor from the outside of Asia might not wish to come in Shangai or some location in India because of high rate of travel cost rather they will visit their nearest one. Moreover, the expenses to set up a park and maintenance cost would be higher than the income and Disney might suffer a big loss. Another issue is that, majority of the South Asian tourist are not very affluent. This could be another considering matter.These would be the reason not to set up of the park in Shangai or some location in India
